We see you

Some people wake up every morning looking for something to be outraged about. Others awake looking only for positive experiences no matter what goes on around them. I’m that second person.

In dogs, in life in general really, but especially in dogs, we find that when you are a passionate, productive person who works actively year after year to better your breed, you will have a few out there who for some weird reason get angry towards you. Somehow working hard to promote, educate, entertain, enjoy a breed of dog angers those who do not do as much as you. Or perhaps they just do things differently. It doesn’t matter.

What people say or do about you is none of your business. Its not my concern, nor should it be yours.

For over two decades we have been active in Staffords. When I say active, I do not mean breeding litter after litter. I mean joining and actively participating in Stafford clubs. I mean being a large part of the Stafford community. I mean creating something where there was nothing. I mean being involved in rescue. I mean fundraising for the breed no matter what its for – rescue, shows, sports – whatever is needed. I mean joining clubs, committees and actually participating and getting shit accomplished. I mean being on Boards and doing the job descriptions plus some. You get it.

Somehow this makes some people mad. So what. How people respond to what you do reflects on them, not on you. How people act, specifically acting immaturely, poor sportsmanship, lying, or even simply taking credit for your work has zero effect on your life. You have to learn to simply ‘Let Them’. Let them show the world who they are by their behavior. Nobody needs to know your side of the story because you live your story.

It tells itself.

If this blog post speaks to you – good. You are noticed. Whether its you who is active or whether its you who complain, either way – YOU ARE NOTICED.

Allow others to live their lives and keep doing what you feel is important.
